About me
My background
I created this blog because I felt there was a gap in personal finance help, especially for young Australians. Growing up, financial literacy was never taught in school and especially not at home – being brought up by first generation immigrants.
I was taught to work hard, save harder, buy a house nearby and then live the “Australian Dream”.
Being younger and naive, from my ‘research’ and being influenced online – I dabbled a little bit in cryptocurrency, individual share picking, even sports betting at one point – all in hopes of making more money – hitting the jackpot. We spend most of our lives online now and it’s not hard to see the successes of influencers online doing things we could only dream of. This can lead us consumers of this content to believe this is the way of personal finance. This blog is created to cut through that noise and give clear knowledge on what is right, what is wrong and the in between and so we can all make better financial decisions for our futures.
Who am I?
I work full time in the allied health industry for the past 5 years with casual work during high school and university days. Outside work, I love hitting the gym, research/reading about personal finance and spending time with loved ones. I have a passion talking about all things finances with family and friends and am invested into the FIRE movement.
Mission
Educate others on personal finance to set themselves up for success
